With the same number of dedicated warehouse staff as before, the AutoStore automated robotic warehouse enables F. ENGEL to store and retrieve stock more quickly and efficiently than ever before. ENERGY EFFICIENT GROWTH
The AutoStore automated solution optimises warehouse performance significantly compared to traditional pallet warehouses. With increased storage capacity, due to its automated storage and retrieval system comprising robot pickers, bins and a unique grid stacked storage system, the AutoStore automated warehouse increases utilisation rate per cubic square meter. Offering a compact storage solution, it reduces overall warehouse footprint. Built upon the chaos warehouse method, goods are securely stored yet quickly and easily retrieved. The bin system allows for more items to be stored together which is a more efficient storage method than the traditional pallet and box system.
24 hours a day
AutoStore is extremely energy efficient and can run 24 hours a day without the need for light or heat, with 10 robots using the equivalent energy consumption as an average vacuum cleaner. The current AutoStore facility at F. ENGEL has approximately 130,000 bins, 36 robots and 12 ports where goods are picked and packed, efficiently serving our brands and international customer base.
